What happened

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. finished its merger with Amicus Therapeutics, Inc. on April 27, 2026. Amicus merged into a BioMarin merger subsidiary and continues as the surviving corporation, now a wholly owned subsidiary of BioMarin. [01]

Each Amicus common share was converted into the right to receive $14.50 in cash. BioMarin paid for the deal with new term loans, proceeds of its 5.500% Senior Notes due 2034 released from escrow, and cash on hand. The merger agreement is dated Dec. 19, 2025. [01]
