Bioventus LLC completed its acquisition of the remaining shares of CartiHeal (2009) Ltd. on July 12, 2022. The purchase price was approximately $315.0 million, with an additional $135.0 million payable upon achievement of certain sales milestones.
CartiHeal is headquartered in Israel and develops an implant for treating joint surface lesions. In February 2023, Bioventus transferred its CartiHeal shares to a trustee for the benefit of CartiHeal’s former securityholders.
