What happened
Cedar Fair, L.P. and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation entered into a merger agreement on Nov. 2, 2023. The companies announced that regulatory conditions had been satisfied, allowing them to proceed toward closing, subject to remaining customary conditions.
The parties said they expected closing on July 1, 2024. The combined company will be renamed Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.
