What happened

Tiptree Inc. reported that the sale of The Fortegra Group, Inc. to DB Insurance Co., Ltd. has closed. The deal was valued at $1.65 billion in cash, subject to adjustments under the merger agreement signed in September 2025. [01]

Tiptree said a portion of the proceeds was placed in a segregated escrow account to cover any additional leakage amounts identified in the four months after closing. [01]
