Genezen to buy uniQure’s Lexington manufacturing facility
What happened
Genezen agreed to purchase uniQure’s commercial-scale gene-therapy manufacturing facility in Lexington, Massachusetts. The agreement covers manufacturing equipment, related operations and other facility assets.
Total consideration is $25 million, comprising $12.5 million in newly issued Series C Preferred Stock and a $12.5 million convertible note. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions.
