OMERS Life Sciences, through OCM IP Healthcare Portfolio LP, purchased a portion of the royalties on European sales of bempedoic acid products from Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. for US$304,656,180.
OMERS will receive the royalty interests until it has received 1.7 times its investment, after which the royalties will revert to Esperion.
