Saipem and Subsea7 plan to merge in offshore energy combination
What happened
Saipem and Subsea7 have announced an agreement in principle to merge the two companies. The transaction has been agreed by both Boards and the three main shareholders.
The companies expect to enter into a binding merger agreement around mid-2025. Completion is anticipated in the second half of 2026.
