What happened

Grain Management has reached a definitive agreement under which SpaceX will take all of its nationwide 800 MHz spectrum portfolio, Grain said on October 8, 2026. The deal still needs FCC approval and other customary closing conditions. Terms weren't disclosed. [01]

The portfolio came to Grain from T-Mobile in August 2026 in exchange for cash and Grain's 600MHz spectrum. SpaceX plans to use the low-band spectrum for Starlink Mobile's satellite direct-to-device service. [01]
