What happened

Tarsus Pharmaceuticals said it has finished its acquisition of iRenix Medical, a privately held, clinical-stage ophthalmic biopharmaceutical company. The target develops IRX-101, an investigational ocular antiseptic aimed at reducing post-procedural pain and corneal toxicity in patients receiving intravitreal therapy. [01]

The upfront payment includes $37.5 million in cash and shares of Tarsus common stock. iRenix's equityholders may also receive milestone payments of up to $490 million tied to regulatory and commercial goals, plus revenue sharing payments. [01]
