What happened
Constellation Energy Generation, LLC purchased all outstanding partnership interests in NRG South Texas, LP from Texas Genco GP, LLC and Texas Genco LP, LLC. The transaction closed on Nov. 1, 2023.
The sale had an aggregate base purchase price of one billion and seven hundred fifty million dollars ($1,750,000,000). NRG South Texas owns a 44% interest in the South Texas Project nuclear generation facility.
