Sysco said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Restaurant Depot, a cash-and-carry foodservice supplier serving small restaurants and businesses. The purchase combines cash and Sysco shares, and Sysco expects it to close by its third quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. [01]
Restaurant Depot would operate as a standalone business segment after closing, keeping its leadership team, pricing structure and operating model. Sysco expects the deal to be accretive to earnings per share in the first and second years after close. [01]
