What happened
Fengate, through Fengate Infrastructure Fund V, has entered into agreements to invest in Pilot Fiber, an enterprise connectivity provider in the New York metro area, and to fund Pilot's purchase of the New York and New Jersey fiber network of Boldyn Networks. The investment gives Pilot over $330 million in new financing. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Once the deals close, expected in 2027, Pilot will own more than 1,600 route miles of fiber reaching more than 1,200 buildings and 50 data centers. Founder and CEO Joseph Fasone will keep leading the company.
