What happened

FirstSun Capital Bancorp completed its merger with Pioneer Bancshares, Inc. on April 1, 2022. Pioneer became a wholly-owned subsidiary of FirstSun Capital Bancorp before the second-step merger, in which Pioneer merged into FirstSun Capital Bancorp.

Pioneer Bank, SSB also merged into Sunflower Bank, National Association. The combined company will operate under the FirstSun and Sunflower Bank trade names.
